Parent Sheet is the raw stock size we actually buy for the selected Paper Stock (text weights come in 25" x 38" or 19" x 25", whichever works out more efficient; 100lb Gloss Text is 29.5" x 20.81"; cover stocks are 20.81" x 29.5" except 80lb/100lb Gloss Cover at 19" x 25"). The Indigo's max sheet is 20.81" x 29.5" — a 25" x 38" parent doesn't fit that as purchased, so it's cut in half first (down to 25" x 19") before it can run there. If running that Indigo-sized sheet would take 200 or more sheets, that's the Run Sheet and press used; otherwise the parent gets cut down further to whichever standard size (12.5" x 19" or 13" x 19") yields the most pieces from it, and the job runs on the Xerox instead. Amount Up is calculated from the finished size above (best available layout) after removing press gripper margin (0.45" lead + 0.45" tail) and side margins (0.125" each side), so Sheets Needed reflects real usable imposition area.

Prototype — not shown to customers, not sent to Planka yet. Rates pulled from DocketManager (press clicks, Preflight, Cartons, paper cost, cutting, finishing). Cutting includes trimming the finished pieces off the run sheet, plus whatever it takes to get the purchased parent sheet down to that run-sheet size first: for Xerox jobs, 2 cuts/lift if the parent divides evenly into the run size, 3 if there's a leftover trim strip; for Indigo jobs on an oversized parent (25x38), a single 1-cut/lift split in half. All of these reuse the same stock Lift Size/Cut Price, since there's no separate rate captured for either cut-down step. Indigo vs. Xerox is picked by the same fixed rule as the Imposition table above (fewer than 100 full-parent sheets on Indigo → cut down and run the Xerox instead). Paper Cost and Cutting now cover 26 of the form's 30 stocks (all Uncoated/Gloss/Silk text weights and C1S/C2S/Uncoated/Silk cover stocks) — the original 3 (60lb Uncoated, 80lb Uncoated, 12pt C1S) were individually confirmed in DocketManager; the rest were pulled from the stock list's cost data and use a reasonable Lift Size convention rather than a per-stock lookup, so treat those as good estimates worth spot-checking, not confirmed numbers. The remaining 4 (24pt C2S and the 3 Synthetics) genuinely aren't in DocketManager under the names/brands checked, so they still show "Not incl." rather than a guess. Finishing prices whatever's checked in Finishing Options using real department-item rates, except Spot UV (genuinely outsourced — shows a quote-separately note, not a dollar figure); a few sub-options (lanyard pouch mil thickness, round-corner radius, Perforating Standard vs Laser) fall back to the one variant DocketManager actually prices. If Rush or Hot Rush is selected under Timeline, the Subtotal already includes that markup (+25%/+50%). Treat every number below as a partial estimate for review, not a real quote.
